Photo manipulation and ethics

The story gives you examples of instances that certain people have used photoshop or other photo editing tools to change photos. They used these tools to make some things like missiles appear to have more smoke or for there to be even more than there were originally. They also use photoshop to edit out people to make stuff like politics to seem worse than they really are. I consider this to be unethical because you are altering the truth and making people believe something is worse or better than it really is.
This one is the least offensive they just moved the pyramids closer together to make it a better looking cover.

This one was the worst on the page because they included a black student just so it seems they are a diverse school. Muy racist

Three of the 40 greatest photos ever

I picked this photo because the D-day battle was a very iconic battle of WWII and I find it interesting. I like how the picture is taking from inside the boat kind of from the view of a soldier. This photo made the cut because its showing the war and the brave soldiers who stormed the beach head on.

I picked this photo because i found it interesting how the guard takes the balloon but kind of doesn't show any facial recognition of it. I like how the picture kind of has the repetition of the soldiers then just one small white balloon. It made the cut because it shows even though its like a police barricade the little kid can still get through.

I picked this photo because its just a great photo  it shows the entire Earth from space and how it looks and that only half of  it is lit. The picture uses simplicity to bring all the interest to the Earth. Well it obviously made the cut because its such a unique picture of the Earth from space.

Selfie quick write.

Well the girl is disrespecting the whole religious thing by standing up while all the other people are bowing down praying. And she's also using her phone to take a picture of herself. No me gusta

Avoiding Mergers

The American flag in this photo is not near anything else so it does not look merged with anything. The flag is on a clear background and has all attention going to the flag.

Lines

The diagonal rays from the sun coming down over the building draw attention to the buildings, the clear sky and the sun. It also makes the photo appear calm

Rule of thirds

The main focus of this photo is the army hummer, using rule of thirds shows the important part of the photo off center which draws more attention than if it was directly in the center.
